Whose authenticity is in question here? The Prophet or the Compilers?
Upon which verses rests your Faith or Iman? The Al-Qur’an or Persian Imam?
"But there are among men those who patronize ridiculous hadiths (لَهْوَ الْحَدِيثِ) without knowledge (thereby) misleading from the Path of Allah and throwing a butt of mockery: for such there will be a humiliating Penalty" (Sura Luqman:6)
"...[It is] a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. And if Muhammad had made up about Us some [false] sayings, We would have seized him by the right hand; Then We would have cut from him the aorta. And there is no one of you who could prevent [Us] from him..." (Sura Al-Ĥāqqah:43-47)
Even from the inconsistent hadith one can get a clear answers, whether the Prophet left us the hadith.
Narrated By 'Abdul 'Aziz bin Rufai' : Shaddad bin Ma'qil and I entered upon Ibn 'Abbas. Shaddad bin Ma'qil asked him, "Did the Prophet leave anything (besides the Qur'an)?" He replied. "He did not leave anything except what is Between the two bindings (of the Qur'an)." Then we visited Muhammad bin Al-Hanafiyya and asked him (the same question). He replied, "The Prophet did not leave except what is between the bindings (of the Qur'an)." Sahih Bukhari Volume 006, Book 061, Hadith No. 537.
What faith is not...
"...And among them are unlettered ones who do not know the Scripture except in wishful thinking, but they are only assuming..." (2.78)
